Training week for theatre makers

Calling professional theatre makers – writers, directors, designers (in scenography, sound or lighting), producers, stage managers!

Theatre Royal Waterford in collaboration with Rough Magic Theatre Company are offering theatre makers the opportunity to gain insights into the making of a professional theatre production.

Led by director Lynne Parker and a full production team, the successful participants will approach new scripts with a view to production. The four-day programme, which takes place 16^th to 19^th June 2025) will include workshops in dramaturgy, text analysis and production approaches.

What we are offering:

• Free participation in this week-long training programme. Full attendance required:  10am-5pm, Monday, 16^th to Thursday, 19^th June.
• An additional bursary of €500 to participants.

Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years’ theatre-making experience, and be resident in the south east region of Ireland.
