About the event

A day of FREE live music outside our back stage door, featuring Waterford musicians aged 14 to, well, much older….

Tunes from the Stage Door – 12.30-1.30pm

Omega Three is a collection of musicians who have come together because they enjoy playing music together. Francie White (vocals), Gerry Power (guitar), Mickey Dower (bass) and Gerry Madden (mandolin) are often joined by musician friends to become Omega Three Extra Strength. For this ‘Extra Strength’ gig at the ‘Stage Door’, they will be joined by ace musicians, Dylan Bible and Alan Coonagh.

Sounds from the Underground – 2-4:30pm

Conor O’Driscoll aka Squish The Kidd is a rapper from Waterford influenced by the likes of Joey Badass, Juice Wrld, Midwxst and Denzel Curry. His music portrays a message that perfection does not exist and, if it does, it is merely a creative limit.

The Dried Mangos band

The Dried Mangos are a band that formed through Music Generation Waterford’s partnership with the GOMA Art Gallery to provide a space for young musicians to explore their creativity and musicianship. The group has been working on a variety of genres from artists such as The Beatles, Dua Lipa, Fleetwood Mac and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, working with both a rhythm section and a brass section. They have just had their first performance at the GOMA Art Gallery as part of Criunniú na nÓg, and will be performing soon at Jenkins Lane for Summer in the City and The Old Fort Festival in Laois late June.

No Clue are Cain Byrne and Liam Frampton, an emerging acoustic duo from Waterford city who are heavily inspired by Britpop bands such as Oasis, The Verve and Pulp, as well as classic rock from the 60’s and 70s, such as The Kinks and Dire Straits. When they’re not knocking out cover tunes, they’re busy writing their own music!

Racún is a band that was set up through Music Generation Waterford’s Dungarvan Jam Club. They had their first performance at the official launch of Tramore’s new Public Plaza, and have also played at the Theatre Royal Waterford as part of [email protected], and at the GOMA Art Gallery as part of Cruinniú na nÓg. Ahead of the Triangle Festival, Racún can been seen soon at Summer in the City Festival and The Old Fort Festival. They have been working  on a variety of genres with a focus on Rock and Indie, with a setlist featuring artists such as Billie Eilish, Muse, the Cranberries and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
