SWAN LAKE
Founded in 2006 in the Beautiful Black Sea City of Odessa by Vladimir Troshenko on foot of an Invitation to perform Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” throughout the most prestigious theatres in the USA.
From that moment onwards the company has engaged in International tours throughout the USA and Canada, performing Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” and “Swan Lake”, as well as successfully touring in its homeland and throughout all of Europe and Asia.
The Ukrainian Ballet of Peace has had the great honour of performing its production of Tchaikovsky’s “The Sleeping Beauty”, Bizet-Shchedrin’s “Carmen-suite” as well as several other modern ballets including its interpretation of “Romeo and Juliet” in the truly great Theatres of Europe.
The Ukrainian Ballet of Peace costumes and stage sceneries are hand made by the best masters in the workshops of their Theatres of Opera and Ballet”.
The Ukrainian Ballet of Peace repertoire was created in the best traditions of the art form, continuing and inheriting the experience of such masters as Natalia Makarova, Rudolf Nureyev, Mikhail Baryshnikov.
This touring troupe consists of 31 Ukrainian dancers, 2 dancers from the Czech Republic and 1 Italian dancer, together with a full Ukrainian crew.
This acclaimed production of Swan Lake will be performed at the Theatre Royal, Waterford next February 25th or 2 performances only at 2.30pm & 8pm.
Set to Tchaikovsky’s delightful score, Swan Lake is one of the most famous and best loved Ballets in the world.
The production is a magical combination of drama and tragedy and the perpetual battle between good and evil. From the splendour of the palace Ballroom to the moon lit lake where Swans glide in perfect formation.
Through the use of sumptuous costumes, wonderful traditional stage sets and decorations this classic Ballet is brought to life right before your very eyes on the Theatre Royal stage.
This impressive production is truly inspiring.
