Calling young musicians!

Jam@TheRoyal JULY EDITION

Ages 11-14 years

Jam@TheRoyal live music experience is back on 13th-15th July for young musicians ages 11-14 years.

A collaboration between Music Generation Waterford and Theatre Royal, this Jam@TheRoyal July Edition invites young musicians aged 11-14years with a minimum of 2 years playing experience on instrument/s or vocals to get involved. Young musicians don’t need to have previous band experience or come already in a band, all we ask is that participants have 2 years playing experience, they are enthusiastic about meeting like-minded young musicians and wanting to learn and play with others in a rock/pop band setting.

During this three-day band experience, young musicians will be divided into bands and have the opportunities to jam with other young musicians, prepare a gig set list of up to 4 songs and get ready to perform them live at the closing gig. Bands are mentored and guided by professional gigging musicians and technicians.

The experience will culminate in a showcase gig on the Theatre Royal stage on Wednesday, 15th  July.
